A picture of five generations of women in my family.  I was maybe 6 at the time.  I remember that  I wanted to play out side and they caught me on the way to the fridge and made me sit for this picture.  I didnt even smile.  Its funny to me that that is now one of my prized possessions.  A reminder of...

The second thing I own that is important to me is a history book of my family liniage from the 1800's of my families immigration into America.  I love it.  Its all right there in black and white. 

The third thing is my wedding rings.  I know that it is materialistic, but I love the symbol and the life that they represent. 

I love this question.  I have recently adjusted my school classes around, hopefully, fufilling this very question.  I would like to open centers for women.  Centers which would offer medical advise, legal help, job placement, counciling, college entrance help,  child care assistance, any thing and every thing any woman would need or want to help her further herself and her place in this world.  I have to say that we do have something similar here in my town and that I have acctually volunteered there.  But I dont feel that they are on the right track.  They expect to serve every women of every social class, but instead find that they are helping only a certain level of women and are upset by it.  I am very upset by this.  And other things, but, the point of this blog is that I think I could do it better.
